East Anglia

Liz (Elizabeth) Palmer

Liz has been a member of Physio First since 1990 and is owner of Park Physiotherapy. She qualified from Guys Hospital in 1979 and has worked in hospitals in Norwich and Cape Town. She worked in the NHS in England before starting in private practice in 1990, in Dereham.

In 1998 Liz established Park Physiotherapy and in 2002, having mainly worked from rented premises, she moved to a purpose built, award winning property in Hockering.

Liz specialises in musculoskeletal problems and sports injuries and, over the past 20 years has concentrated on developing this area of her practice. In 2014 she completed a Master’s degree in Advanced Musculoskeletal Research and Practice at UEA, with her final dissertation on physiotherapy treatment of cervicogenic headaches. She also has a special interest in treating migraine headaches and tinnitus using gentle cranial mobilisation techniques.

Essex

Claire Oldroyd

Claire owns and runs Great Bardfield Physiotherapy and Acupuncture Practice. She has been a member of Physio First since September 2003, is currently our Essex Regional Officer, and sits on our education committee.

Having trained at the Royal London Hospital and worked as a senior NHS clinician, Claire has over 20 years experience in the physiotherapy profession, with the past 15 of those in the private sector. She is also an advanced member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. 

Claire has worked with BP on off-shore oil-rigs in the North Sea, and is an ex-honorary physiotherapist of the British Judo Association, having travelled with the squad around Europe and to the commonwealth games.

In 2013, Claire was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal by the CSP for her voluntary work, and she is currently on the CSP Research and Development committee.

Kent

Anna Carley

Anna Carley has been working as a physiotherapist since graduating from Sheffield Hallam University in 1997.

She spent nine years working in the NHS, gaining loads of valuable experience, before joining her mother-in-law in her private practice in 2006.

In 2008 Anna obtained advanced qualifications in the treatment of all muscle/joint/nerve problems and became a member of the MACP.

She has been a member of Physio First since 2002 and, in April 2016 took on the role of Regional Officer for Kent.
